Multicultural Association of Timmins’s prime role is to promote and celebrate cultural diversity, foster inclusion, and address the needs and concerns of individuals from various cultural backgrounds.

At the Multicultural Association of Timmins, our mission is to celebrate and promote diversity, inclusivity, and cultural understanding. We believe that by embracing the unique backgrounds of our residents, we contribute to a richer and more vibrant community. We are committed to;

1. Cultural Celebration and Promotion: Organizing events, festivals, and activities that showcase and celebrate the diverse cultures present in the community. Promoting understanding and appreciation of different cultural traditions, customs, and histories.

2. Community Integration: Facilitating the integration of newcomers and immigrants into the local community by providing support services and resources. Offering language assistance programs and cultural orientation to help newcomers adapt to their new environment.

3. Advocacy and Representation: Advocating for the rights and interests of individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Representing the multicultural community in discussions with local government, organizations, and institutions.

4. Education and Awareness: Conducting workshops, seminars, and educational programs to raise awareness about cultural diversity and combat stereotypes or prejudices. Providing resources and information to promote cross-cultural understanding and communication.
